Crazy for kitties...

I don't know if you all remember, but a few weeks back, my bestie and her adorable family came to visit.

Well, the moment they walked through the door, Ava was looking for some kitty love!  That girl LOVES the kitties.  {She's after Auntie Jen's heart!  I did my fair share of kitty chasing when I was little.  I just wanted to hold them sooooo baaaad!}  They all, of course scattered on the commotion of the arrival, but eventually, Miles made his way down to see what was going on.  I was amazed that he actually wanted to play with Ava!  Not that she's not fun to play with, just that he's never really been around kids, so I wasn't sure he'd be comfortable.  I should have known, my Miles is the biggest sweetheart of them all!  He wasn't, however as fond of Ava's little brother.  Something about a bobbling toddler that freaks cats out beyond belief!

 
So, now for a collective "Awwwwwwww".

So glad Ava got her kitty lovin and I'm such a proud mama of my Miles.  What a good boy!

And seriously, could that girl be any cuter!?  I seriously want her outfit.  Do they make that in my size?

Happy Birthday Miss Ava!

Even though I can't be there to celebrate with you, I want you to know I'm thinking of you today!  You are one special little girl, and I hope your mama and I will be better about visiting, because I definitely want to you know you and see you grow!  It's hard to believe that you're already three!

happy 2nd birthday, ava!

{This is the first of the birthday posts this week, get ready!}

Today is my best friend's daughter's 2nd birthday.  I'm so proud to be Ava's "Auntie Jen".  I can't believe she's already 2.  I haven't seen her since she was about a month and a half old, because they live in another state, but it's been so fun to see her growing up through the beautiful pictures that her mama takes and hearing her little voice over the phone.  

She is one special kid.  

It's also been so amazing seeing my lifelong friend as a mama, and I can only hope that one day I am as good at being a mother as she is.  

Jon and I are planning to make a visit to see Ava this fall {and her baby brother that's on the way}.  I can't wait to soak her in and see her in action!  

Happy, happy birthday Miss Ava!  We love you bunches!
