Here we are, it's Monday morning....again. Sigh.
But, how can I be too upset when the weekend was so great!? We're now in the full swing of summer hours at work, which means Friday afternoons morph into another day of the weekend, which is fantastic! This last Friday, despite the urge to take a nap, I decided to be productive. {shocker!}
So, a little background...
I am so blessed with some amazing friends who have loaned me a TON of maternity clothes. We're talking, I've only bought some Target maternity tanks, cause they're phenom, and some non-maternity cotton skirts, some comfy cotton shorts.....and a belly band. Yep, I think that's it. The rest of my closet is full, FULL of clothes, thanks to my super fantastic, amazing, generous, beautiful, sweet friends, Amber and April. These girls seriously rock.
Well, here's the thing, I've been shuffling Amber's maternity clothes from the spare bedroom, and working around my regular clothes, all the while being confused as to what I actually CAN wear. Well, on Thursday, when April sent me home with 3 more bags full of maternity clothes, I knew something had to change. Plus, Amanda's coming in just two weeks, and she's gonna need a place to sleep. I'm guessing atop a pile of maternity clothes is not her top choice.
Anyway, it was closet organization time! I packed up all my regular clothes into boxes to go to the basement until after baby is here {minus my cardigans, as they'll be put to use in the fall} . Then I tried on all the hand-me-downs, and packed up the things that already don't fit to give back to my friends. Then, I organized my closet with the "new" clothes.
When all was said and done, my closet is just as full as it's ever been, but everything fits! {which is an amazing feeling when you're growing by the day.} I am so very blessed. I'm pretty sure I shed a hormone-laced tear over how blessed I am by my friends. I am one lucky, lucky girl. If I had gone out and bought all these clothes I would have spent thousands of dollars, I'm sure.
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics, but I had to give you a visual...can you believe how generous my friends are? Thanks Amber and April!!! Love you both!
Now I'm excited to get dressed in the morning! It's fun having a whole new wardrobe. :)

The First Ever Ladies Who Craft NIght...
A few weeks ago, I had an idea. See, I have this long list of things I'd like to make. {Most of them can be found on my Pinterest board of the same name.} I got to thinking, the biggest problem is just finding the time to make them. Then I realized that I probably have a lot of friends with the same issue. What if we all got together with the purpose of making stuff? We could chat, and have a few cocktails. It'd be a girls night....with crafts!
I bounced the idea around with one of my best girlfriends, and she was excited too, so I sent out an invite and the First Ever Ladies Who Craft Night was Saturday night! It turned out that there were lots of schedule conflicts within the group, but we ended up with 5 ladies. Not bad! We drank Framboise and ate some snacks while we chatted and worked on our projects. Between us all we had photo books, scrapbook pages, headbands and ornaments. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I know I did! I'm hoping to do it again in January when things calm down after the holidays.
You're probably wondering what I ended up making. I did punch holes in my Christmas cards from last year, but I didn't have any rings to bind them with, so ribbons will do for now.
I also made some ornaments. {Yeah, ended up going a completely different direction!} I made them with polymer clay and stamped names into them. They'll be just a little something for some neighbors and friends. {Hopefully this post doesn't ruin it for too many people.} I thought they were so cute, so I decided to add them to the shop as well. You can find them here and here.
Ladies Who Craft Night was so great. I'd highly recommend having one if you have friends who'd be interested. Invite everyone, you might be surprised who'd be into it!
Are you making any gifts this year?

Night at the K...
Last night, we went to a Royals game with our small group. We were missing one of our ladies {sad face} but we had a great time! It was HOT, and the sweat was rolling, let me tell you. Honestly, I didn't really watch any of the game...I know! I'm horrible! I just have more fun people watching and chatting with my friends, what can I say?
It was the first time Jon and I have been out to the stadium since it was re-done. I love the new design! So much cooler than it used to be.
Oh, and I love these people. I'm truley blessed to call them friends.
Are you a baseball fan? I just can't get into it. I'm the same way with football. Basketball is another story...I LOVE basketball!
