3D Date Night...

Saturday night Jon and I went to the movies.  Now, you probably don't understand what a big deal this is.  See, we've literally been to three movies together before this one...in eleven years!  We're just a movies at home couple, what can I say. 

Anyway, we ventured out on Saturday night to the theater for Saw 3D: The Final Chapter.  I'm not usually into blood and guts, but years ago, Jon and I made a deal and my end was that I have to watch all the Saw movies that ever come out.  Turns out, I kinda liked the storyline too. 

This was my first 3D movie experience, and it was really cool!  It took a little getting used to, but it did add a whole new level of surprise, expecially with a horror movie. 

It didn't take long for us to remember why we enjoy watching at home.  Just before the house lights went down this group of three teenage girls walks up and this girl plops down right next to Jon saying something like "don't worry, I don't bite".  I mean, if the theater was full, then fine, but there were literally 20 people in there.  And, there was room for them to sit on that row and be over one more seat.  It was rediculous.  She also checked her phone about ten times during the movie. 

Afterwards we were talking about what Jon should have done when she walked up.  He should have said in a gravelly voice, "oh, that's okay.  I'm just getting out of the house.  I've had the swine flu, but it's cool, doctor says I'm not contagious anymore"  and then started coughing uncontrollably in her direction. 

Too much?  We thought it was genious.

Weekend re-cap...

Good morning everyone!  Hope you all had wonderful weekends and that you accomplished everything on your to-do list.  I got a good amount of mine done!  

Saturday I deep cleaned our master bedroom and bathroom.  {I had hopes of doing the whole upstairs, but it was a bigger project than I anticipated.  Not to mention that the office is a weekend project in itself!}  It felt so good to get everything spick and span.  I swear my life is more fulfilling, productive  and happy when my house is clean. 

Do you guys feel that way?  

To make sure it stays clean, I have come up with a schedule to help maintain throughout the week so I don't have to devote entire days on the weekends to cleaning.  I'm hopeful that this will free up some of my time to do some of the fun projects on my list that I never get to because of the things I need to do!

Our barbeque with the neighbors fell trough, so we made tacos at home and then went out for frozen custard.  Since we were out, we stopped at Blockbuster and got a couple of movies.  

We watched New Moon on Saturday night.  {Some of you may be rolling your eyes, and I understand.  You see, I got sucked into the books, and therefore I must see the movies.}  I actually thought this movie was much better than the first.  I was never able to get myself to read Eclipse, but now, I'm ready.

Sunday, we slept in, made breakfast and started watching 2012.  Typical end-of-world action movie.  It was okay.  

We went to evening church service and learned about forgiveness .  Then it was off to Wal-Mart to do our weekly shopping, during which we both confessed a desire for more frozen custard, so we indulged again on the way home!  We're so bad!  

All in all, it was a great weekend!  It was so nice to get my home organized and spend some time with my hubby.

I Love You Man

Jon and I watched this movie Saturday night.  It was by far the funniest film I've seen in quite some time. We were laughing non-stop, and I even stayed awake for the whole thing!  I'm sure most everyone has seen it by now, but if not...go get it now! 

We just lost an hour of our lives...

Not your best work my friend. As a matter of fact, this was pretty much the worst movie EVER!!

Jon and I are big Jim Carrey fans, so I picked this up at Savers a couple of weeks ago thinking it would be funny to see him before he was famous...not so much. It is basically a glorified music video for Rita Coolidge. I'd say half of the hour long movie is her singing. I guess at least it was only an hour!
