Glimpses....

I am so in love with watermelon right now!  I could seriously eat it non-stop.  We've been spending a fortune on pre-cubed containers, and I cannot wait til we can just buy a nice big, juicy watermelon and I'll eat the whole thing!!!  Mwahahahahahahaha!
Chloe, scratching her chin on a box.  Poor little girl with her allergies.  Best part, if you zoom in, you'll see a droplet of drool running down the side of the box.  Hilarious.

Some days I just need ice cream.  I may or may not have a stash of these  individual sized cups stashed in the freezer at work for emergencies.
Sweet Sophie.  It's always hard to get a good picture of her with her black fur, but I was quite pleased with this one!

Ginger Ale and Cranberry juice.  Yum!  I've always been a water drinker, exclusively, really.  Lately, though, I crave something with some flavor!
 So there you have it, snacks  and cats.

Do you have any favorite caffeine free drinks?  I'd be oh-so-grateful if you shared.

Moments....

A few moments from Girl's Weekend, captured by Amanda on her iPhone.  {Which I'm totally jealous of.  I may or may not have played with it some alot, and totally fell in love.  Someday.}

Do you own a smart phone? If so, what kind?
 My phone is about as dumb as they come.  We don't even have a texting plan.  We're old school like that.

Tea to go...

This morning our house was freezing!  62 degrees!  Even Miles was under the covers.  I think tonight's the night for the furnace to make it's debut.

I put on a sweater, and a scarf and made one of my favorites.  Green chai tea.  {See, I'm not all about pumpkin lattes!}  I've decided that I'm going to alternate every day between coffee and tea.  The coffee addiction was getting to be a little much, and tea is so good for you!  This is especially easy when it tastes so good!

Just boil some water...
put some fat free vanilla creamer in the bottom of your cup and add your tea bag...
pour in the water...
mmmm, lookin' good!
throw the lid on it, and you're good to go!

I never liked hot tea until a couple of years ago.  I think the creamer is what sold me.

Do you drink hot tea?  If so, do you add creamer or milk to yours?

Oh, and have you turned your furnace on yet?

slurp...

Yeah, that's right.  I made a stop at Sonic for Happy Hour,
and now I'm a happy girl with my cranberry limeade.

Just what I needed on this miserably hot and muggy afternoon.

Yum.my.

OMG....

Okay, if you've been reading for any time at all, you know my love for iced cofee.  Well, it just got taken to the next level....
McCafe Carmel Frappe
Have you tried this yet?  So. Freaking. Good.  Proceed with caution though...I made the mistake of looking at the nutrition info....there is a reason this thing tastes so good!

Heaven help me.

clearly canadian...

We were just watching an episode of Seinfeld, and Jerry busted out a couple of these from his fridge...

O.M.G.
{That's right, I just threw out an OMG.}

I had completely forgotten about Clearly Canadian!  It was only the most awesome drink ever when I was a kid/young teen!  Raspberry was definitely my favorite.
Apparently it's poised to make a comeback.  Now in plastic bottles, and with only 25 calories per serving.  {I'm sure the plastic is more readily recycled, but the glass bottle was part of the charm!  And, unfortunately it's made with sucralose.  i steer clear of artificial sweeteners, but might have to make an exception for one of these!}

You can check out their website here and see if there's a retailer near you here.
The closest to us is in North Kansas City.  So close, yet just far enough to keep me from getting my hands on it easily.

Do you guys remember Clearly Canadian?  If so, did you love it as much as I did?

green goodness...

I've never been a huge fan of St. Patrick's Day, but green is one of my favorite colors!  In honor of the Irish holiday, I picked out some green goodness from etsy that I wouldn't mind having all year round!

Do you have big plans to celebrate St. Patty's?

I think mine will consist of a good workout, a little bracket filling-in, and watching last night's episode of Lost!  I might even get crazy and make a green monster!  {this is my plan as of now, but it is possible we could be swayed into having a beer at our neighborhood pub with our friends, we'll see.}

I'm lovin' it...

image from here .

My friend brought me a vanilla iced coffee from McDonald's this morning.  I think they must put crack in these things.  Seriously, I get so excited every time.  Right now, I've almost finished it off and I feel all hyped up on caffeine and crazy.  Love it.  {I really haven't had any caffeine for over a week, so it's hitting me hard!} I love them so much and every time I have one I think, I must have this every morning....but that's just not a good idea.   Have you guys tried them?

Hahaha!  I think the above paragraph makes it pretty apparent how jittery I am.  The crash is going to suck big time.

But for real, if you like iced coffee and haven't tried McD's version....do it.

I'm not going to do my friday to-do this week because really, it's the same as last week and I'm bored with it.  Plus, that's kinda all I've blogged about for a while and let's face it, no one wants to read about that.

Happy Friday to you all!  Have a super fantastic fun weekend!

Chai goodness...

I am in love with this...
I love a great cup of chai tea in the fall.  I recently found this Yogi blend of Chai Rooibus, which is even better!  Rooibus is high in antioxidants and natually caffeine free.  Find more about it here.
I've been keeping a pitcher of concentrated tea (brewed 8 tea bags in 4 cups of boiling water) in the fridge.  In the mornings before work, or whenever the mood strikes I can either pour over ice and add milk for a refreshing iced chai, or add milk and heat for a hot cup.  It's come in really handy since I'm always running late in the mornings. The best part is that I'm no longer drinking the sludgy coffee at the office!
Hope you all had a great weekend!  Mine was too short, as usual.
I was a painting machine, though!  Got alot done for my upcoming fair.
Happy Monday everyone!
