A while back I came across
Choffy online, and knew instantly that I had to try it! I contacted Choffy Executive Distributor, Jeremy Ogden, and he graciously agreed to sponsor a review/giveaway for us!
Now, you're probably thinking, what the heck is
Choffy? Basically, it's ground cocoa beans that you brew just like coffee. Yeah, you read that right...

So, now for the real test. Does it taste as good as it sounds?
Upon opening the bag of
Choffy I was amazed at the decadent smell of the grounds. Holy cow, this stuff smells like the best, sweetest chocolate you've ever had. {It smelled so good that I had to taste the grounds. I know! I couldn't help myself, because it literally looks like ground chocolate. They weren't bad, but you should probably brew it.}
I brewed mine in my brand new french press. Jeremy suggested this method as the best way to enjoy
Choffy, so I gave it a whirl.
Two level tablespoons per 6 oz of water, pour in the hot water, steep for 4 minutes, press, and enjoy.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Would it taste like hot chocolate? Chocolate flavored coffee? Well, the answer is that it tastes like neither. The best way I can describe it is that it tastes like a rich, dark chocolate in liquid form. It has a bit of a bite to it, like a good dark chocolate would. It's a very unique taste, like nothing else I've experienced. Definitely worth trying! You could drink it straight, or I added a little french vanilla creamer into mine, and it was perfect!
