Glimpses...

Another crazy week here at the Casa de Davis.  

 This seems to be the year of surgeries.  It seems like everyone is having them!  The latest is my mama. {seen above on our cupcake date last weekend}  She had shoulder surgery yesterday, and they discovered that her tendon was severed 2/3 of the way through!  Poor thing.  She's not very happy right now.

I've been trying to keep my head above water on painting.  For some reason it's been a struggle lately.  Not that I'm not enjoying it, but time is going by so quickly that it's hard to keep up! Plus, I've been really sticking to taking it easy on Sundays.  I think it makes me more productive on Saturdays knowing that I'll have Sunday to relax, but obviously, I'm not getting anything done on Sundays now.

Anyhoo, I've gotta get with it!  I have a couple of Easter baskets in the shop, and more coming.  Order early, cause Easter is April 14th this year!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

I know this day carries with it some high emotions for some.  I've gone back and forth over it in the past, myself.  But, it's a day about love, what's not to, um....love?  I think it's important to just not get caught up in the commercialization and cliches.  Just take some extra time to let the people in your life know you love them!

Okay, so I know I probably should have posted my favorites for V-day a couple weeks ago, as it's obviously too late to order them today, but I wanted to share anyway....

Jon and I were going to go out to dinner last night, but decided on a night at home with movies and basketball instead.  We'll probably go on a date next weekend.  

Glimpses....

Wow, this week flew by! Anyone else think so?

Things have been busy. Busy at work, busy at home work {aka etsy}. While it's been alot of, well, work, I can't help but feel pretty darned blessed right now. Things are looking up, that's for sure.

 This weekend, I need to paint like the wind! I have 12 piggy banks and counting in the queue. So awesome, but I cannot get behind! I'm hoping to get a lunch in with my mom tomorrow. I miss her. She lives 7 minutes away, but it feels like forever since I've seen her. Sunday will by my day of rest, and we have small group, which is always fun.

 I know I've had tons of random thoughts this week, but failed to record any of them, so you'll have to make due with some pictures.
